 This is my first carving, my first Santa, my “FIRST BLOOD.” I dug him out of the attic a few years ago because at the different shows or classes I teach or carving demonstrations I do I hear more people tell me that they “could never do that.” Some others will say “I’m not artistic.” So all I do is point this little carving out and tell them “You can do it, if you put your mind to it.” I think Pete LeClair said all you need to learn how to carve are 5 things. A sharp knife, and practice, practice, practice, practice. If you want it YOU CAN DO IT. |
